The Barn at Greenacres is an award winning two bedroom barn conversion on the southern edge of the Peak District and very near to Alton Towers. Located in the Staffordshire Moorlands, our self catering holiday cottage is perfect for families or couples. With two bedrooms (one super kingsize room with en-suite and an easily accessible downstairs double bedroom), the Barn can sleep a maximum of four and could be your comfortable family home for the week.
The holiday cottage has oil-fired central heating, and there’s a handy boot room to dry off the dog after those long country walks. There’s also a freezer and washing machine, plus a dog bed too. Coming into the Barn there’s a snug with comfortable seating for four, with Freeview TV, DVD, radio and CD, and a cosy log burner. Broadband wi fi is also available. Greenacres has secure storage for bikes if you need it, and off-road parking.

There’s a large fully-fitted kitchen and dining table that seats 6, and a separate lounge with countryside views that’s the perfect place to curl up with a good book.
On the ground floor there’s a large, bright double bedroom, and a luxurious bathroom. Upstairs is another double bedroom with a king-size double bed, and velux windows giving spectacular views over the Churnet Valley and the Weaver Hills to the North. The bed can also be converted to two singles if necessary, and we have a stair gate, travel cot and child seat if you have very young children.
Finally, there’s a spacious en suite. There’s a virtual brochure here (unfortunately we have had to temporarily remove all of the printed materials from the Barn, what with one thing and another).
Outside is a large garden, a sunny patio area, and at the rear is a picnic table and a BBQ. Everything you need for a fabulous holiday!

Spend a few hours relaxing in a secluded, wood-fired outdoor bath under the stars listening to the sounds of the countryside at night.
Set in our orchard tucked away by the apple tree, is our brand-new Swedish outdoor bath tub.
Whether you are staying in The Barn or The Parlour, take the opportunity to stop and watch the sun set, the cows graze and the stars come out.
We will run the bath, light the fire and then leave the rest to you.
All you need to do is let us know when you want to stop everything and bathe.
